Elmar Welge, photographer and journalist from Hallenberg in Sauerland, accompanied the Beatles on numerous tours. More than anyone else, he succeeded in using his camera to combine snapshots from the professional and private lives of the Beatles, thereby creating a documentation of significance to collectors worldwide.

The media hype surrounding the "fab four" attracted the young photographer far less than his view behind the facade of each one. By personal invitation, Elmar Welge was given the chance to document the legendary peace-action of John Lennon's and Yoko Ono's "Bed-In" at the Amsterdam Hilton.

Those photo impressions reveal John Lennon as concentrated, relaxed, and amused - but also as thoughtful and lost in his musings. At his side: Yoko Ono - questioning, attentive, and pondering.

The result is a limited edition - 3 motifs, 5 copies each.
