The idea of combining Brosnan’s dynamic “So Many Dreams” drawings with Stefanie Hering’s sculptural work emerged during a meeting in Miami in December 2023. For the collaboration the artists selected Stefanie’s iconic Tropo vases with a velvety, diamond polished surface. ‚Tropo‘ is derived from the ancient Greek word ‚Tropos‘, meaning‚ to turn‘ or ‚to change direction‘, evoking a sense of transformation and movement. All shapes in the Tropo collection are characterized by an asymmetrical base that forms an irregular triangle with rounded corners. They appear cylindrical, oval or tapered, depending on the angle from which they are viewed.
Pierce Brosnan is known to millions as an actor and producer. That he is also a passionate painter became widely recognized with his major solo exhibition “So Many Dreams” in Los Angeles in 2023. Selected drawings from the eponymous series have now been transferred by Brosnan to a new medium: porcelain objects by Hering Berlin. Drawing on personal experiences and his love for nature, Brosnan’s bold, expressive style is marked by vibrant colors and dynamic compositions. Exploring themes of love, loss, and renewal, his drawings and paintings offer a window into his emotional and artistic journey. With the same passion and intensity he brings to the screen, Brosnan continues to captivate through his art.
